GOLDEN TEMPLE--------------"-AMRITSAR :PUNJAB: INDIA"






AMRITSAR city was built in 1574 by the fourth Sikh guru, Guru Ram Das ji.  Another name for this is  Harimandir Sahib.It is considered holy by Sikhs. The holiest text of Sikhism, the Guru Granth Sahib is always present inside the gurdwara. Its construction was mainly intended to build a place of worship for men and women from all walks of life and all religions to come and worship God equally. Over 100,000 people visit the holy shrine daily for worship.

  • Inside the complex all people are required to cover their heads.
  • Smoking is not allowed.
  • Taking photos are not allowed inside the temple.

THE TAJ MAHAL------SPECTACULAR MONUMENT OF ETERNAL LOVE

THE TAJ MAHAL in AGRA, INDIA  is a spectacular monument of eternal love.It was built by the Mugal Emperor Shah Jahan.He built it in sweet memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz.Did yoy know
that interesting fact:::::::::::::::

####The minarets at the corner of the building slope outward slightly.If an earthquake struck the area,the minarets would fall away from the tomb.

####The white marble that covers THE TAJMAHAL  came from aquarry 185 miles away,carried on the backs os 1000 elephants.

It is quiet unique that an emperor ordered 2000 people to spend 20 years building a magnificent  tomb after her death!!!!
